Moulded New Frame Extension, north east Suffolk (phase 2)

We started framing this complex structure at the end of 2002, raising the first phase the following spring.

Not only does it have moulded crown posts in the roof, but is loosely based on the Suffolk raised aisle tradition, incorporating large moulded capitals to the arcade posts. Although covering a relatively small area, it has much detail and many timbers; probably the most complicated frame we have yet built.

Phase 2 was framed over the winter of 2003/2004 and raised early in the new year.
