New Framing Projects
Wymarks, Mendlesham
This project was built during the first half of 2003 and is our largest building to date. Although fairly simple in its design, it has over 700 joints and uses approximately 45 tons of English oak.
Framed over four months it was raised in July 2003. Of note are the ceiling joist frames above the first floor; these were assembled in two bay units on the ground and lifted into position with a crane. In all it took about a week and a half to raise with the aid of a crane.
