Garden Room, Lavenham

This small garden room required a hipped roof lower than the dormer window above; at such a low pitch we felt that the inclusion of dragon ties to the corners of the roof plate were essential. These ties strengthen the plate frame and allow such a shallow hip rafter to be used, they look fantastic and were great fun to mark and cut.

Joinery quality timber was used throughout so that in the sun the inevitable distortion will affect the glazing as little as possible.
